We certainly got off to a cold start this month! Hopefully there is some warmer weather in our future. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a family filled winter break. Mrs. Neiburg and I missed seeing your children’s happy faces and are excited to get back in the groove of school.
This month we will continue with our letters, counting, colors, following directions, and socializing with our peers. We are working very hard on recognizing our names and naming the letters in our names. Each day the children have been spotting their name on our attendance board and often recognizing the names of their friends. You may have noticed we no longer have their pictures on the board, just their names.
Our January themes are snow, winter, snowflakes and animals. We will also spend some time talking about Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
While we are always busy bees in the classroom, you may notice we won’t be sending home as many pieces of art work as we usually do. Most of our art time will be used in preparation for our Art Fair next month. Preparation for the art fair is always an exciting time at Concordia and one the children all love.
Please make a note of the following dates:
