Happy May! Spring has arrived and the children are enjoying the warmer weather as they continue to search for signs of spring. We have watched our caterpillars take shelter in their chrysalis and transform into beautiful butterflies. It has been a treat to see how excited the class is to check in on them every day.
We planted our baby spider plants for the mothers. The class has loved watching our large plant in the classroom grow and enjoyed picking which baby they wanted to clip and plant.
I know everyone was impressed with how well our class did at the spring show. They worked hard at practice each week and having you there to watch and cheer them on was fantastic. Thank you!
Our Alex’s Lemonade Stand will be on May 10th. We have discussed where the proceeds will go from our sale and the children seemed very eager to help. They understand that the money will go to help fund medicines and the care for sick children.
We are wrapping up our lessons and enjoying the last few school days. By the last week of school we will have completed the letter Z and will review all the letters of the alphabet.
We will have our class picnic on Monday, May 21st after school. Location TBD.
Mrs. Gioia and I have LOVED having the privilege to teach each of your children. Getting to know them has been such a joy and we hope they have had as much fun with us this year as we have had with them. I am sad to see the year end and will miss each of them.
