We have so many things to be thankful for in our classroom. Being thankful will be our theme this month. We will also learn about the Native Americans and Pilgrims and what it means to share and be helpful. Our shape this month is the square and our color of the month is brown.
We have many exciting things happening. Be sure to mark your calendars!
School pictures will be taken on Wednesday, November 8th. Please be sure to send in your order form and money if you plan on purchasing pictures.
November 17th will be BROWN day and we will have chapel at 9:15. Parents are welcome to attend chapel with us. The service lasts about 30 minutes and we ask that each child bring a canned good to school that day. We will donate all the collected food to the food pantry for the needy. Our classroom will also celebrate thanksgiving with a “friendship feast.” I will put a sign up outside our room for those who want to donate to the festivities.
Conferences are scheduled for November 20th. Please see the sign-up sheet outside our classroom and select a time. Babysitting will be provided for students and siblings.
Concordia will be closed from November 22nd through the 24th for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Our vendor fair will be held in the Big Room on November 30th at 7:00pm
If your child is interested in staying for lunch bunch on Monday or Wednesdays, you can purchase tickets from Mrs. Spillan. Lunch Bunch is offered every Monday and Wednesday and is a great way for the children to have some extra socialization and playtime with their friends. It also gives parents some extra time in the afternoon which may be much needed with the holidays around the corner. Lunch Bunch runs from 12:00-1:15.
Mrs. Gioia and I are very thankful for each of your children and are looking forward to a wonderful month. We are also very thankful and excited to welcome a new student to our room. Aarav is new to Concordia this month and we are excited to welcome him. He is a great addition to our class.
