It is hard to believe that the school year is almost over! We have been busy this month learning about caterpillars and butterflies. We enjoyed watching our caterpillars go through their life cycle and become butterflies. The children were able to observe them in the butterfly cage and even see the butterflies drink sugar water with their straw tongue! We learned about the farm and what different animals live there and what comes from the farm. The trip to Coverdale farm was so much fun and the weather was perfect. The class worked on secret Mother’s Day gifts too!!
Over the summer, I would encourage you to continue reviewing the alphabet as well as numbers and counting. Count objects with your child as you go about your day. Point out objects and talk with your child about what letter they begin with. The first day of kindergarten will be right around the corner!
A big thank you to Kristin Pedicone who was our classroom rep this year.
