Wow! It's so hard to believe this is the last newsletter of the year! Your children have all grown in so many ways and it has been such a joy to be a part of their lives for this past year. The last few weeks of school will continue to be very busy.
The caterpillars have been a lot of fun to have in the classroom, as we watched them turn into butterflies. We have also learned some fun poems and songs about caterpillars and butterflies. The children have also been watering and observing their marigold plants as they continue to grow. They will be bringing them home before the end of the year.
Friday 5/11, we will be hosting our annual Alex's Lemonade Stand with the other classes. We will talk in class about how we can help others, no matter what our age. This will also be Yellow Day. Please arrive at school that day at 11:45 to have some lemonade and support the event.
We will go to Coverdale Farm on Wednesday 5/16. Please make sure to take your child to the potty before coming to the room. It is a long bus ride and there are no convenient restrooms at the farm!
The Lunch Bunch picnic for our class will also be held on Wed. the 16th . A sign-up sheet is posted outside of the classroom. The fee is $8.00 which includes a hot dog, chips, carrot sticks, drink and a cookie. If your child does not eat hotdogs, please send in a nut-free lunch for them to eat. Mrs. Sobieski and I will both be there. This is usually attended by most of the children, even if they don't normally stay for Lunch Bunch, so hope your children will join us!
The last day of class is Monday 5/21. Information about the end-of-year picnic/party, to be held at the Molnars right after school that day, will come home soon. This is not a drop-off event, so please plan to join your child in the fun!
Along the way, we will be fitting in some Mother's Day and Father's Day projects and our last music and gym classes and our last chapel day!
As always, thank you for sharing your wonderful children with us and we hope their year was as much fun as we thought it was!
